Walks are normally held on the third Sunday of every month, 10am start unless otherwise stated.

Suggestions of routes for future walks gratefully received.

Meet at 10am at RSPB Reception Hut.
Free parking for RSPB members, £2 for non-members.
*if sufficient interest. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please contact 01767 631863 by 23rd May to book a pond-dipping place.
The walk will be approximately two miles.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at the Reserve due to its SSSI status.

19/6/2022Kelshall VillageTherfield to Kelshall Village Loop: an easy 6Km walk from Therfield, a pretty village nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside.The loop heads out from the Therfield Village Green - meet here at 10am - to Kelshall along a chalk ridge (with great views) amd a river, into a wood and back to The Fox & Duck in Therfield for a midday treat,

18/9/2022Croydon & Hatley WoodA longer walk taking in Croydon and Hatley Wood. Park in Croydon High Street and meet at the entrance to the Wood Grill (formerly Queen Adelaide) car park at 10am.
16/10/2022Funghi ForayOne of our more popular woodland walks to identify many species of fungus. Location and start time TBA.
20/11/2022Paxton PitsIdentify some of our over-wintering birds at Paxton Pits. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 10am
18/12/2022Manor FarmOur annual Christmas yomp around Manor Farm taking in the Lousy Bush Nature Reserve. Start at the Chequers at 10am and finish there for bacon rolls (must be booked in advance) and some festive spirit just after midday.

To cover the costs of running PWWG, we request that walkers pay either a £10 annual subscription or £1 per walk
attended. Children accompanied by a responsible adult free.

Dogs are welcome unless noted otherwise in the walk description. We reserve the right to request that dogs be kept in a lead.
